What happens when you delete an account?

In Proyex, you can delete either your entire account or a single team. In both cases, there is a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion at any time. After this period expires, all data will be permanently deleted.

Delete a team

Prerequisite

A team can only be deleted if there is no active subscription. If you have a current subscription, cancel it first—deletion will then be possible after the cancellation period has expired.

How to delete a team

1. Go to Team Settings.

2. Scroll to the Delete Team section.

3. Click on Schedule Deletion.

4. Confirm the process.

The 30-day period begins now. During this time:

• The team remains fully usable

• You’ll see a red banner with the countdown

• You can cancel the deletion at any time

What will be deleted?

After 30 days, all team data will be permanently deleted:

• All projects, tasks, subtasks, and milestones

• All files, revisions, and annotations

• All CRM data (deals, contacts, companies, activities, pipelines)

• All chat messages and attachments

• All templates, pages, and webhooks

• All media from the media library

• All time entries

What happens to team members?

When a team is deleted, Proyex automatically checks the following for each member:

• Member has another paid team: The member is removed from the deleted team. Their contributions (tasks, time entries, comments) are anonymized. The account remains active.

• Member has no other paid team: The member’s account is also scheduled for deletion (with its own 30-day grace period). If the team deletion is revoked, the account deletion for these members is automatically canceled as well.

What happens to guests/customers?

Guests who only have access to projects of the deleted team are also removed. Guests who are also invited to projects of other teams retain their access there.

How to delete your account

1. Go to Profile.

2. Scroll to the Delete Account section.

3. Enter your password to confirm.

4. Click on Delete Account.

Requirements

You can only delete your account if you do not have a team with an active subscription. Teams with a canceled subscription (in the grace period) do not block the deletion.

What happens when you delete your account?

• Teams you own: Will also be deleted (including all data, as described above)

• Teams you are a member of: You will be removed from the team and your contributions will be anonymized

• External connections: All API tokens, OAuth connections (e.g., MCP, Zapier), and social logins will be revoked

• Subscriptions: Will be canceled immediately

Revoke deletion

During the 30-day period, you can revoke the deletion in two ways:

• In Proyex: Click the "Revoke" button in the red banner or in the respective settings

• Via email: You’ll find a direct link to revoke in the reminder emails

Reminder emails

You will automatically receive reminder emails:

• 7 days before deletion — Reminder with cancellation link

• 1 day before deletion — Final warning

After final deletion, you (and, in the case of team deletion, all members) will receive a confirmation email.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I recover my data after deletion?

No. After the 30-day period expires, all data will be permanently deleted. Back up important data beforehand.

What happens if I’m in multiple teams and delete my account?

Teams that you own will be deleted as well. You will be removed from teams where you are only a member—your contributions there will be anonymized but not deleted.

Can a team member prevent the team from being deleted?

No. Only the team owner can schedule and cancel the deletion.

I no longer have a subscription—can I still cancel the deletion?

No. To cancel the deletion, you must have an active paid subscription. First, sign up for a subscription, then you can cancel the deletion.

Will my subscription be automatically canceled upon deletion?

Yes, all subscriptions are immediately terminated upon final deletion.
