What are public pages?

With public pages, you can create your own content pages in your customer portal. Inform your customers about processes, provide FAQs, or share instructions—without external tools. Pages can be saved as drafts and published only when they’re ready.

Here’s how it works

Create a new page

  1. Go to Pages in the portal settings.

  2. Click New Page — a draft will be created automatically.

  3. Enter a title and edit the content in the block editor.

  4. The URL is automatically generated from the title (you can customize it).

  5. Click Publish when the page is ready.

Block Editor

The editor supports various content blocks:

  • Headings (H1 to H4)

  • Text paragraphs

  • Lists (numbered and bulleted)

  • Tables

  • Images with captions

  • Embeddings (YouTube, Vimeo, iFrames)

  • Quotes

Preview

Before publishing, you can preview the page—just as your customers will see it later.

Publish and Hide

Each page has two states:

  • Draft: Visible only to your team, not publicly accessible.

  • Published: Visible to all visitors to your customer portal.

You can reset published pages to draft status at any time.

Menus and Navigation

Create menus to display your pages in the portal navigation:

  1. Create a new menu (e.g., "Main Navigation" or "Footer").

  2. Add pages as menu items.

  3. Adjust the order using drag-and-drop.

  4. If necessary, change the label of a menu item independently of the page title.

Portal Integration

Published pages are accessible at your portal URL:

If you have linked your own domain, they are also available there.

Permissions

All team members can create, edit, and publish pages. Published pages are accessible to anyone who knows the URL without logging in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my own domain?

No, pages are also accessible via the standard portal URL. A custom domain is optional.

Can I edit pages later?

Yes, you can edit published pages at any time. Changes go live immediately.

What happens if I delete a page?

The page will be removed and will no longer be accessible on the portal. Existing menu items that link to the page will also be removed.

Tips & Notes

  • Use the page preview before publishing a page—this ensures everything looks correct.

  • Create a menu so your customers can easily find the pages.

  • Use embeds to display videos or external content directly on your pages.
