What are notifications?
Notifications keep you up to date on everything happening in your projects: new tasks, status changes, mentions, revisions, and more. You decide which channels and events you want to be notified about.
Notification Channels
Proyex supports four channels:
In-app: Notifications appear directly in Proyex with an unread counter. You can access them via the bell icon in the navigation bar.
Email: You’ll receive an email for each enabled event.
Slack: Notifications are sent as direct messages to your Slack account.
Push (Mobile App): You’ll receive push notifications on your smartphone via the Proyex app—with a descriptive title and preview. For chat messages, you’ll also see the sender’s profile picture and an image or PDF preview.

Customize Settings
Go to your profile and select Notifications.
You’ll see two tabs: Email and Slack.
For each category (tasks, collaboration, revisions, etc.), you can turn individual events on or off.
Use the quick actions "Enable All" or "Disable Optional" to quickly adjust all settings.
Push Notifications in the App
You can manage push notifications on your smartphone directly in the Proyex app—regardless of your email and Slack settings.
Open the "More" tab in the app.
Select Notifications.
Toggle each type—tasks, mentions, forms, guests, chat, summaries, and more—on or off individually. Changes take effect immediately.
Some system notifications (such as security alerts) are always enabled and cannot be turned off.
Task Due Date Reminders
In addition to event notifications, you can enable due date reminders for tasks. This setting is team-specific—you can turn it on or off separately for each team.
Connect Slack
Go to Profile > Notifications > Slack.
Click Connect to Slack.
Authorize Proyex in your Slack workspace.
Once connected, Proyex will send you a test message in Slack.
You can disconnect Slack at any time in your settings.
Guest Notifications
Customers who access projects as guests have their own notification system. Guests can customize their settings on a per-project basis and choose which events they want to be notified about.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I turn off all notifications?
All except for system notifications (password, verification, account deletion, team invitations, subscription emails, and other security-related emails). These will always remain active.
Do I need Slack to receive notifications?
No, Slack is optional. Email and in-app notifications work independently of it.
Do my settings apply to all teams?
The email and Slack settings apply to your entire account. Due date reminders are set on a per-team basis.
Tips & Notes
Enable Slack notifications for time-sensitive events like task assignments—that way, you won’t miss a thing.
Use @mentions in comments instead of emails to provide feedback directly within the project context.
Adjust your settings regularly—if you’re working on many projects, too many notifications can be distracting.
