What is the Dashboard?

The Dashboard is your personal home page in Proyex. Here, you can see everything important at a glance: your upcoming tasks, current projects, milestones, team activities, and more. You can customize the Dashboard so that you see exactly the information that’s relevant to your day-to-day work.

How it works

  1. Access the Dashboard: After logging in, you’ll automatically be taken to your Dashboard. You can also access it at any time via the main navigation.

  2. Explore widgets: The dashboard consists of widgets—small information blocks, each covering a specific area (e.g., tasks, projects, activities).

  3. Customize: Click “Edit Layout” to add, remove, or rearrange widgets using drag-and-drop.

  4. Save: When you’re satisfied with your layout, click “Save.” Your dashboard is saved per team—you can use a different layout for each team.

Dashboard Templates

When setting up for the first time, you can choose from four ready-made templates:

  • Standard Dashboard: A balanced mix of tasks, projects, and activities.

  • Project Manager: Focus on project overview, milestones, and calendar.

  • Team Leader: Keep track of team performance, activities, and time spent.

  • Developer: Personal tasks, recent projects, and calendar.

You can then freely customize any template.

The New Dashboard (Beta)

In the new client (beta), the dashboard works differently—and can do much more:

  • Generate reports using the AI assistant: Instead of fixed widgets, you tell the assistant what you want to see (e.g., “Tracked hours per project over the last 8 weeks”)—it creates the appropriate visualization as a card: a metric, bar chart, line chart, pie chart, or table.

  • Multiple dashboards as tabs: Create as many custom overviews as you like (e.g., “Sales” or “Team Utilization”), rename them, and switch between them with a single click. New AI reports always appear on the main dashboard.

  • Time Period Filter: In the top-right corner, you can set all reports to a common time period of 7, 30, or 90 days—or let each report retain its own time period (“Default”).

  • Arrange and Resize: In “Customize” mode, drag and drop cards to the desired location. Use each card’s menu to adjust its width or remove it.

  • Density Toggle: Choose between a compact and a comfortable view—your setting is saved.

  • Always up to date: The reports refresh automatically every few minutes and as soon as you return to the browser tab.

The same applies to the new dashboard: Your metrics are personal. Each team member builds their own dashboard and sees only data from areas to which they have access.

Permissions

Each user has their own dashboard that only they can view and edit. The data on the dashboard shows only information from projects and areas to which you have access. Certain widgets (e.g., team activities) require advanced permissions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I create multiple dashboards?

In the new client (beta), yes—there, you can create as many of your own dashboards as you like as tabs. In the classic dashboard, there is one active layout per team; if you work in multiple teams, each team has its own.

Can other team members see my dashboard?

No, your dashboard is private. Each team member designs their own.

Can I reset the dashboard?

Yes, you can choose a new template or remove all widgets and start from scratch. To do this, you currently just need to delete all widgets one by one, and the templates will be displayed.

Tips & Hints

  • Use the calendar view to quickly plan your day.

  • The Quick Actions widget saves you the trouble of going to the project page when you want to quickly create a task.

  • Adjust the number of entries displayed per widget—this keeps your dashboard organized.
