What are project tags?
Project tags are colored labels that let you categorize your projects and templates. For example, by client group, department, project type, or status. Tags help you quickly keep track of multiple projects and filter them specifically.
Here’s how it works
Create tags
Go to Project Tags in the navigation.
Click on Create Tag.
Enter a name (e.g., "Web Design," "VIP Client").
Select a color.
Optional: Add a short description.
Save the tag.
Assign tags
You can assign tags individually or in bulk:
Single project: Assign as many tags as you like to a project.
Multiple projects at once: Select multiple projects and assign tags in bulk.
Templates: Assign tags to your project templates as well. When you create a new project from the template, the tags are automatically applied.
Batch processing
When assigning tags in batches, you have three options available:
Add: Adds the selected tags to the existing ones.
Remove: Removes the selected tags.
Replace: Replaces all existing tags with the selected ones.
Apply template tags to existing projects
When you change tags in a template, you can choose whether the change should also be applied to projects already created from that template.
Permissions
All team members can create, edit, delete, and assign tags. Tags are available team-wide—each team has its own set of tags.
Frequently Asked Questions

Tips & Notes
Use a consistent color scheme (e.g., blue for departments, green for customer types) to make tags intuitively distinguishable.
Use tags in combination with time tracking—this allows you to analyze working hours by tag category.
Assign tags to templates in advance so that new projects are automatically categorized correctly.
